A Bundt cake is a cake that is baked in a Bundt pan, shaping it into a distinctive ring shape, where it gets its name from. The shape is inspired by a traditional European cake known as Gugelhupf, but Bundt cakes are not generally associated with any single recipe. Manufacturer Nordic Ware trademarked the name “Bundt” and began producing Bundt pans from cast aluminum. Publicity from Pillsbury saw the cakes gain widespread popularity.
This is a simple recipe that explains what is a Bundt cake and how it can be made it will take a composite duration of almost 90 minutes to prepare and then another 30 to serve so almost 2 hours. This cake is by origin American but it gets its inspiration or derivation from the Babka cake as well as the Gugelhupf.
