3 cups milk
3 tbsp custard powder
5 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup bananas, sliced
1/2 cup apples, chopped into cubes
1/2 cup grapes
1/2 cup pomegranate kernels
Note:You can also add pear, cherries, strawberries, pineapples, mango, orange, kiwi or any other seasonal fruit of your choice.

How to make Fruit Custard Recipe

  • Before boiling the milk, keep a 1/4th cup of milk aside.
  • Boil the milk in a pan on a medium flame. Keep stirring occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom.
  • Add sugar while the milk is boiling.
  • Add custard powder to the 1/4th cup milk and mix well avoiding the lumps and add it slowly to the boiling milk.
  • Continue to stir and ensure it does not burn at the bottom.
  • Allow to boil for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the stove.
  • Stir for another 2 minutes to avoid the custard sauce from sticking.
  • Allow to cool down to room temperature and refrigerate for a few hours.
  • Chop all fruits into bite-sized pieces and place the fruits in a serving bowl.
  • Pour custard mixture on the fruits.You can add as a layer as well.
  • Garnish jellies or chopped nuts like almonds or cashews and serve the custard chilled.
