    How to Make Breakfast Fish Cakes

    • Place fish inside a bowl, and heat the coal over a lit flame, until it starts to glow.
    • Place a beetle nut leaf (paan leaf) in the center of the bowl that has the fish inside it.
    • Using tongs, for safety purposes, place the glowing coal into the leaf.
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil, pour on the coal.
    • Wrap the bowl with a foil.
    • Set it aside for an hour and arrange the fish upon a grill pan.
    • Brush the fish with butter and grill until the fish flakes easily.
    • Flake the fish with a fork.
    • Cook cream, spring onions and butter together for a minute or two.
    • Add parsley, potatoes, fish, nutmeg and seasoning before chilling well.
    • Mould the mixture into small patties, coat it with flour.
    • Shallow fry the patties in hot oil on both sides. 3 minutes on each patty.
    • Drain and serve hot.
