That just couldn’t have been more wrong. You do need basic skills in the kitchen and some patience to work magic with the ingredients.     Among the ingredients used for to prepare this sauce are tarragon, shallots, champagne vinegar and lemon juice, all of which contribute to your daily recommended intake of proteins, magnesium, potassium and other useful nutrients. There are still nutritious benefits to be derived even if the sauce was to be consumed on its own.

    Tarragon protects the heart from disease due of its anti inflammatory properties. The anti oxidant properties of tarragon also help to prevent the vessels from sustaining damages. The presence of potassium regulates the expansion and contraction of muscles, particularly the heart.

    Another useful ingredient is iron which is important to red blood cells.

    How to Make Steak Sauce

    • Stir in the lemon juice, champagne and shallots in a medium sized bowl. Allow them to soften for about 10 minutes.
    • Stir in the egg yolks in the bowl.
    • Pour the water in a 2 quart saucepan and bringing it to a boil.
    • Place the bowl over saucepan (don’t pour!) to create a makeshift double boiler.
    • Add the warm butter over the yolk mixture until you get a consistent, viscous fluid.
    • Remove the bowl from the heat, continue to mix it until you get a smooth sauce.
    • Add the tarragon and some salt for seasoning.
    • Serve with steak!
