Komal is a wonderful and flavorful summer drink that originates from Gujarat, India. It is relatively simple on paper, but it can be one of the more complex drinks to actually prepare. Komal uses yogurt, coconut milk, green chilies, sugar, and salt. At first, that may seem like one strange drink, but when you actually try it, you will realize that the flavors blend together perfectly. This drink is both refreshing and soothing in the summer

Health Benefits
Although komal has quite a bit of sugar inside of it, it’s use of other herbs and spices makes it a pretty healthy drink. While each of the ingredients has its own unique set of benefits, the most potent set of benefits probably belongs to the chilies which contain capsaicin, the compound responsible for making chilies spicy. Capsaicin is a natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that protects your body from chronic diseases including certain types of cancer.
