This kambu dosa is a great choice for a quick and simple breakfast option. It is made from pearl millet, which is a very nutrient dense grain that is a great addition to any person’s breakfast diet. This dosa recipe makes for a dosa that is a bit crispier than some other varieties of dosa. But if you prefer your dosa to be a little bit softer, you can adjust it by watering down the batter a little bit.

Health Benefits

Pearl millet or kambu, the primary ingredient in this dish is a great protein rich alternative to meat based sources of protein. Plant based sources of protein are especially important for vegetarians and vegans who historically struggle to include enough protein in their diets. Protein is important because it is responsible for building muscles, repairing cells, and even helps to regulate and manage a person’s weight. It also improves heart health and lowers cholesterol.
