Ingredients

How to make Kambu Dosa

  • Rinse and wash the pearl millet and urad dal separately.
    • Soak urad dal and fenugreek seeds in a bowl.
  • Soak kambu in a separate bowl.
    • Let it soak for at least 5-6 hrs.
  • Add kambu to the grinder.
  • Add urad dal and fenugreek seeds while they’re coarse.
  • Grind until into a smooth batter

            Note: Add water as required.

            Note: Sprinkle water to prevent the batter from sticking

  • Collect mixture in a container.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Close the container with a lid.
    • Let ferment it overnight,
    • Set aside in a warm place.
    • Add a little water to make the batter a little runny.
  • Heat dosa tawa.
    • Add the dosa batter to the dosa tawa over a medium high temperature.
    • Spread outwards using circular motions.
  • Drizzle oil over the dosa.
  • Turn over the dosa once it is browned and cook for few seconds.
  • Flip it over and fold it.
