There are few dishes more wholesome and filling than pasta covered in a creamy Alfredo sauce. This sauce embodies Italian cuisine; it can be applied to any manner of pasta, and pairs equally well with white and red wines. It’s quick and easy to make, and you can adjust the flavor to suit your taste. Make it taste more garlicy or more zesty; it’s up to you. Try pouring this sauce over different pasta recipes and see what works best.

Health Benefits

The health benefits in this recipe come from the sizable amount of garlic used in its preparation – it calls for an entire clove of this amazing herb. Garlic is one of the best sources of allicin, the compound that gives garlic its distinctive odor and pungent smell. When digested, the allicin functions as an antibacterial agent, blood thinner, immunity booster, and perhaps most importantly, as a cancer fighting antioxidant that eliminates free radicals from the body.
