Adjust Servings:
Unsalted melted butter or vegetable oil for greasing custard cups. Alternately, you can use a baking spray.
A stick of butter
2 oz bittersweet chocolate
2 oz semisweet chocolate
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 whole eggs
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla essence
vanilla ice cream (optional)

How to make Chocolate Lava Cake

  • Preheat the oven at 425°F
  • Grease thecustard cups or big cupcake tray with oil or baking spray.
  • Melt the stick of butter along with the bitter and semisweet chocolate in a pan or microwave for over a minute.
  • Whisk the chocolate mixture until it’s smooth and completely melted.
  • Add in the eggs and egg yolks to the chocolate mixture along with the powdered sugar.
  • Add vanilla essence.
  • Fold in the flour and blend the batter completely.
  • Pour the batter in the custard cups and bake for 12-13 minutes. Take it out until you see the sides of the cakes are firm, and the center is still gooey.
  • Serve the warm delicious lava cake with cold vanilla ice cream to give your gastronomic a wonderful contrast.
