2 cups water
5 tsp granulated sugar
1/3 cup pearl tapioca
1 cup brewed black tea
2 tbsp milk
1 cups ice cubes

How to Make It

  1. Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Add 1 tsp. sugar and stir until it dissolves.
  3. Add the pearl tapioca and let it cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Drain and rinse the tapioca pearls. Then, refrigerate it until chilled.
  5. Pour the tea, milk, and 4 tsp. sugar into a cocktail shaker. Mix it well so that the sugar is totally dissolved.
  6. Add the ice cubes and shake well. This will make the drink cold.
  7. Pour into a glass. Add the tapioca.
  8. Serve at once.

Trivia

Bubble Tea can be brewed to your taste. Some recipes omit the milk and add fruit juices or purees, such as mango, melon or strawberry. Other recipes add coffee or chocolate. No matter the recipe, bubble tea is a fun, delicious beverage.
