Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
For the Black Current Cordial :
2 cups black currant
5-6 tbsp Sugar
3 tbsp lemon Juice
Water as needed
For the White Wine Ice Cubes :
1 glass white wine
For Lemon Slice Ice Cubes :
1 glass water
3 lemons
For Strawberry Ice Cubes :
6 strawberries
1 glass water
For the Black Currant Juice :
3 tbsp black currant crush
1/2 tsp black salt
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
salt to taste
1 tbsp lemon Juice
1 glass water
mint leaves – a handful

How to Make Black Currant Juice

For Black Currant Cordial

  1. To a pan, add the black currant berries.
  2. Add 4 to 5 glasses of water to cook on low heat for at least 2 hours.
  3. Cook for a few minutes, until the berries are soft and are easy to mash with a spoon.
  4. Then, use a strainer and remove the seeds.
  5. Add sugar and lemon juice to the juice.
  6. Boil on low heat for another hour.
  7. Once, the cordial gets to a thick consistency, pour it out into jars for use later.

For White Wine Cubes

  1. Fill up an ice tray with a glass of white wine.
  2. Freeze it for at least a couple of hours.

For Lemon Slice Ice Cubes

  1. Pour a glass of water into an ice tray and leave only half of the ice cube compartments filled.
  2. Add slices of lemons into each of the compartments.
  3. Freeze for at least a couple of hours.

For Strawberry Ice Cubes

  1. Fill up an ice tray with a glass of water.
  2. Remove crowns of each of the strawberries.
  3. Slice each of the strawberries into half.
  4. Put each of the strawberry slices in each of the ice cube compartments.
  5. Freeze for at least a couple of hours.

For Black Current Juice

  1. Add black currant cordial, water, white wine ice cubes, black salt, salt, black pepper powder and lemon juice into a blender.
  2. Spin a couple of times.
  3. To a glass, add mint leaves, strawberry ice cubes and lemon ice cubes into the glass.
  4. Pour the black currant juice into the glass.
  5. Serve chilled in an insulated tumblers

If you are planning on consuming the drink later, make sure you refrigerate or store it in an insulated water bottle to retain the freshness and temperature.
