1/2 tbsp aniseeds
1 tbsp almonds
11 peppercorns
1/4 tsp saffron
2 cardamoms- green
1/2 tbsp bhang powder
1 tbsp melon seeds
1/4 cup rose petals- dried

How to make Bhang Thandai

  1. Bring the milk to a boil. Allow it to cool and set aside. 
  1. Soak the almonds, aniseeds, bhang, and rose petals. 
  1. Grind it into a smooth paste. 
  1. Pour a little water in the ground paste, mix, and then strain. 
  1. Stir the sugar, cardamoms, saffron, and peppercorns into the strained liquid. 
  1. Add the milk then refrigerate. 
  1. Serve once chilled. 


Bhang goli is seen as a traditional sleeping aid.
