    This Besan mawa ladoo recipe is a fun variation on the typical ladoo. Ladoo are one of the most iconic holiday snacks that are eaten in India. This recipe calls for moong dal and split green beans, ingredients that have a high protein content. Although they are in fact sweet and delicious and do possess a certain amount of sugar, they are still healthy primarily due to the besan flour used in its preparation. Besan flour is made from grinded up chickpeas which are a superfood. Every 100 grams of chickpeas contains 57 grams of carbohydrates, making the chickpea an extremely dense source of energy. Chickpeas also help maintain pulmonary health, improve digestion, and even treat diabetes.

    How to make Besan Mawa Ladoo

    1. Heat ghee in a pan or kadai.
      1. Roast besan for 3-5 mins on low flame till nice aroma comes.
      2. Add grated mawa and stir well for 5 mins.
      3. Add roasted rava and cardamom powder.
      4. Stir again for 2 mins.
    2. Add condensed milk and cook for 8-10 mins or until the mixture becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of pan.
    3. Remove from the heat and let cool till it turns lukewarm.

    Note: Don’t let it drop to room temp.

    1. Grease your palm with oil or ghee and start making round shaped ladoos.
    2. Serve and enjoy!
