Ahi tuna is one of the most flavorsome fish one can have. It is usually served as sashimi but these days poke bowls or sushi bowls are being served everywhere.

This recipe is sure to be a delight for any seafood lover out there and those people who are on a low-fat diet.

You can still enjoy the richness of sushi without taking in the sticky rice when you cook this ahi recipe. This recipe is really easy to prepare but you just have to be careful when handling the fish. Don’t let it sit in the fridge for too long or out of it otherwise it might lose its freshness! This is a light, refreshing salad that you can enjoy as a starter or even as a meal fi you are watching your weight or on keto.

    Health benefits

This is a very healthy recipe as it contains fresh tuna that is loaded with vitamins and minerals. The avocados are full of good fats that are heart healthy and help in maintaining healthy cholesterol  levels.

How to make Absolutely Amazing Ahi

    • In a medium sized bowl, combine the tuna and all the vegetables and seasoning together. Pour  in the sesame oil, lemon juice and soy sauce. Stir in gently and be careful not to mash any of the ingredients especially the ripe avocados. You need to give it a salad bowl texture  so  mashed up vegetables might not be a good idea.
    • Place this bowl in a bigger bowl that is full of ice and refrigerate for around 15 minutes. Don’t keep in the fridge for longer than that otherwise the freshness of the tuna and vegetables will be lost.
    • Take out the chilled ahi tuna and serve on a plate.
    • Sprinkle some sesame seeds garnish.
