How to make Tofu Tacos

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over a medium flame, saute onion until translucent, add garlic and stir till the raw smell goes away, and add tofu. Continue stirring for 5 minutes or until crispy.
  2. Add chili powder, cayenne, paprika, cumin, salt, tomato sauce and lemon juice. Stir to combine
  3. Turn of the heat and garnish with cilantro.
  4. Slightly warm taco shells, assemble them on a tray and top with tofu mixture, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and avocado.
  5. Enjoy filling, flavorful, and super-healthy tacos.

Tofu was first producedin China about 2000 years ago during the Han Dynasty (206 BC–220 AD).A curious fact about tofu is that the processing Tofu is similar to that of making cheese. The process requires soy milk. Coagulants are added to make the solids separate from the liquids. Conventionally tofu is made using Nagari, which is essentially magnesium chloride.
