Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina (sooji/rava)
- 1 cup jaggery (gud)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 small banana, mashed (optional)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- Oil or ghee as needed
How to make Rava Paniyaram
Trivia: With the use of jaggery, these paniyaram has a soft texture and it tastes very delicious. Paniyaram makes a nice tiffin snack and can be prepared plain or masala paniyaram flavor. If you don’t have the special cookware, you can shallow fry these dumplings. |
