How to Make Penne with Chicken and Pesto

  1. Pour some salted water inside a large pot and put it to boil.
  2. Add pasta to the boiling water and cook for around 8 to 10 minutes, until it becomes dense.
  3. Drain the water out.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter inside a large skillet put over medium heat. Sautee garlic and chicken over medium heat, until the chicken is properly cooked. Reduce the heat and stir in pepper, salt, cream, Parmesan cheese and pesto. Cook until the chicken does not look pink from the inside.
  5. Finally stir the dish with cooked pasta.

Penne makes for an excellent choice to have for many kinds of pasta dishes, because of its practical design. The reason why it is so famous is because the hollow center gives it the ability to hold sauce. This is one of the reasons why penne pasta goes well with pesto and marinara sauce.
