Ingredients

How to make Gluten-Free French Dip Sandwiches

  • Rinse and dry the meat. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and onion powder.
  • Season the roast with the seasonings.
  • Add all the ingredients into the cooker. Place the lid and cook on a high flame for 4 hours.
  • Shred the beef using forks. Make the hoagie by placing the broiler on high. Place the oven rack on the third from the top in the oven. Slice into halves lengthwise. Butter each slice. On each slice of bread put one slice of provolone cheese.
  • Place on a baking sheet and put inside the oven for 35 minutes. Observe so that the bread and cheese do not burn. Once the bread is toasted, take out from the oven. Drain the beef and place on the bread. Serve hot with au jus.

The delicacy is freezer friendly. You can reheat and relish it later too. It can be served with a vegetable side dish or with apple grape salad. Sour cream and cheddar mashed cauliflower make the perfect side dish.

Trivia

French dips originated in California. It is said that the word ‘French Dip’ was a fashion term in the 1900s. It referred to a dropped- waist style on a dress. The sandwiches are referred to as ‘French dip’ since they are dipped in a fattening gravy.
