1 tsp tamarind paste
1 tsp date powder
1 cup water
1 tsp chilli- red
1 tsp cumin powder
½ tsp ginger
1 tsp jagery
salt to taste

How to make Date Chutney

  1. Put the jaggery, water, and dates in a boiling water. This should run for 2 hours.
  2. Blend the mixture to smooth and strain back into the pan that contains previously boiled water.
  3. Add tamarind paste and other seasoning agents.
  4. Boil the mixture again until it is thick enough to coat the back of a spatula.
  5. Let cool to room temperature, pack in clear glass jars and refrigerate.

Spread prepared date chutney on toasts, salads, tacos or have with samosas, fritters, and kachoris!
