Ingredients

2 tbsp peanut oil
1 tbsp margarine
1 big onion- chopped
1 tbsp ginger- minced
2 tbsp garlic—minced
1 tsp chinnamon
1 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp coriander
2 tbsp cumin
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tomatoes
2 Serrano chile peppers- seeded
1/2 cup cilantro
1/2 cup yogurt
3 cups water

How to make Curry Sauce

  1. Heat oil and margarine in a wok on a low heat setting. 
  1. Add the onion and stir for about 10 minutes until it browns. 
  1. Stir in garlic and ginger and fry for about 2 minutes; this completes the onion mixture.

Note: Process the ginger and garlic to achieve a smooth texture. 

  1. Put the onion mixture into a saucepan.
    1. Add cinnamon, coriander, cumin, black pepper, turmeric, and the cayenne pepper.
    2. Allow it to cook well until it thickens. 
  1. Add tomato, chilli peppers, and the cilantro and cook well till it achieves a smooth texture. 
  1. Add yogurt a little at a time. 
  1. Blend the entire mixture together.

Note:Use a puree or food processor for best results.it.

  1. Add blended mixture and water to a saucepan and set to boil. 
  1. Serve at once.
