1 heaped cup sweet corn kernels – fresh or frozen
4 garlic cloves – finely chopped
8 fresh basil leaves – chopped
1/2 cup tomatoes – finely chopped
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp mixed Italian herbs – dried
1/4 tsp paprika – optional, adds taste and flavor
1-2 tsp butter
1 tbsp cheese for taste – grated
1/4 tsp salt to taste

Ingredients

HOW TO MAKE CORN SANDWICH

  • Heat a teaspoon of butter in a deep-bottomed pan.
  • Add chopped garlic and sauté till they become golden brown and crunchy.
  • Add salt and corn kernels.
  • Stir while cooking for 3-4 minutes or till corn becomes soft yet crunchy.
  • Toss in pepper powder, paprika, dried mixed Italian herbs, and remaining salt.
  • Mix well.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and freshly chopped basil once the mixture cools and mix well.
  • Add grated cheese and stir the mixture once.
  • To two slices of bread, spread a thin layer of butter.
  • Spread the stuffing generously.
  • Grease a flat pan or griddle with some butter.
  • Place the sandwich on it and turn on the heat.
  • Toast both the sides of the sandwich while applying butter.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Cut the sandwiches diagonally into two equal pieces.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
