Adjust Servings:
1/2 kg Chicken
1 cup oil
2 tsp Ghee
8 cardamoms
6 cloves
2 tbsp garlic
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp chilli
salt to taste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 cup yogurt
2 onions--sliced
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tsp Saffron

How to make Chicken Korma

  1. In a pan over medium heat, combine oil and ghee and fry cardamom, cloves, and garlic and onion until translucent.
  2. Add the chicken and cook for a few minutes or until brown.
  3. Add coriander, chili powder, salt, ginger, yogurt and simmer for few minutes.
  4. Add garam masala and saffron and a little water to get the consistency of a gravy.
  5. Your chicken korma  is ready!!


Korma originated with the Mughals and is believed to have been served to Shah Jahan during the Taj Mahal's inauguration.
