Ingredients

How to make Beetroot Poriyal

  1. Place chopped beets in a microwave safe bowl and add water
  2. Sprinkle some salt and mix well.
  3. Cook in microwave for 10 mins.
  4. Let stand for 1 min in microwave then remove.

Note: The water should have evaporated; if not drain it.

  1. Heat oil in a kadai and splutter mustard, urad dal and curry leaves.
  2. Add cooked beets and toss to coat.
  3. Fry till they become a light golden color and turn a little crispy.
  4. Add chilli powder and mix well.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
