How to make Amla Murabba

  1. Prick the fruits using a fork. Add a teaspoon of lime to water and soak the fruits overnight.
  2. Rinse soaked fruit to thoroughly remove lime.
  3. In a saucepan, bring water to boil, add amlas and cooked till soft and tender. Drain and set aside.
  4. Combine sugar, lemon juice, and water to make a syrup. Add cooked fruit and boil for 5 minutes. Once cooled, transfer to a food storage container or kitchen containers

The Hindi word “amla” is a derivative of the word “amlaki” of the Sanskrit language, which translates as “prosperity” or “the sustainer”
