Ingredients

How to make Basa Fish Fry

  1. Cut the fillet into 3-4 in pieces.
  2. Place the fish pieces in a large bowl and pour in 1 tbsp of lemon juice.
    1. Add pepper, salt, and red chilli flakes as well.
  3. Grind together the parsley, garlic, remaining 1tbsp of lemon juice, and olive oil.
    1. Pour this paste over the basa pieces.
    2. Gently cover each piece with the marinade.
  4. Heat the white oil in a non-stick pan.
    1. Carefully add in the basa pieces on high heat,
  5. Lower the heat.
    1. Fry the fish on one side for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Gently flip the pieces over.
  7. Fry for another 2 mins.
  8. Serve and enjoy! 

Trivia 

In the UK, basa is commonly called "Vietnamese river cobbler".
