How to make Sweet Corn Mutton Soup

  1. Combine green chilies, ginger, garlic, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, and cumin seeds and transfer the mixture to a large cooking pot over. Add water, mutton, salt, garam masala, and turmeric powder. Let cook on medium-high flame for half an hour.
  2. Lower the heat and add sweet corns, mixed vegetables, macaroni, and egg to the cooking pot. Stir while cooking.
  3. Meanwhile, make a paste of corn flour and water. Set aside.
  4. In a pan over medium flame, add onions, cinnamon, and cloves and cook until onion pieces turn golden. Transfer to the boiling soup and and add corn flour paste.
  5. Simmer for another 10 minutes until the soup thickens.
  6. Turn off the stove and transfer soup into bowls.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves and coriander leaves and enjoy.

  • Sweet corn was initially used as a chewing gum by Native Americans.
  • An average corn ear contains 800 corn kernels.

A corn ear always has an even number of rows.
