Ingredients
- 1.5 tbsp oil r clarified butter
- 250 g basmati rice – parboiled
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2-3 bay leaves
- 2-3 green cardamoms
- 2 black or brown cardamoms
- 1 tbsp caraway seed
- 4-5 cloves
- 8-10 peppercorns
- 1 Star Anise
- 2 onion julienne
- 1 tbsp biryani masala powder
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander seed powder
- 1 medium sized potato
- 350 g mixed sprouts – boiled or cooked until tender
- a few mint leaves
- salt as per taste
- 1 cup water
- a few fried curry leaves, fried raisins, and cashew nuts for garnish (optional)
For the paste :
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- 2 carrots—chopped
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1 tsp nigella seeds
- 1 tbsp charoli
- 1 tbsp flax seed
- 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
- 1 tsp black sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp fresh grated coconut
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1 green chili
- 8-9 Mint leaves
- 2 tbsp water
