Ingredients
Ingredients for the gravy:
- 2 ½ cups white chickpeas—cooked
- 1 – 2 tsp tea powder/tea leaves
- 2 tomatoes—blended to a puree
- 1 onion—chopped
- 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- salt to taste
- sprigs coriander leaves—chopped
Ingredients for the masala:
- 2 bay leaves
- 10 gm cardamom
- 5 gm Coriander seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 3-4 peppercorns
- 2 dry red chillis
- 2 cloves
- A 3-inch cinnamon stick
Directions
Note: at this point you may also add a tsp of crushed pomegranate seeds/dried mango powder/dried gooseberry powder for extra acidity.
