Ingredients
For the Rice
- ½ cup basmati rice
- 2 bay leaves
- 2-3 green cardamoms
- 1 tsp Shahi jeera
- 1 inch cinnamom stick
- 2 black cardamoms
- 1 star anise
- 1 tsp salt
- For the Marinade
- 500 g prawns
- 2 tsp biryani masala
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup curd
- 2 tbsp fried onion
- oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice
For the Biryani Gravy
- 1-inch cinnamom stick
- 1 star anise
- 2 green cardamoms
- 4-5 cloves
- 1 tsp shahi jeera
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 large chopped onion
- 3 chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tsp biryani masala
- Salt to taste
For Layering:
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- ½ cup Pudina Leaves
- 2-3 tsp Orange colour water
- Saffron strands mixed in 2-3 tsp of milk 1 cup fried onion
