Ragi roti is a breakfast food that originates from the Indian state of Karnataka. Ragirotti is a type of pancake in Kannada. It uses a specialized flour mixture that kneads salt and water into the dough to make it soft. The dough is often laced with onions and carrots, and coriander seeds. Make it for breakfast and serve it hot alongside your favorite chutney. You can even have some rotti for lunch if you pack it inside your Vaya Tyffyn lunchbox.

Health Benefits

This dish is full to the brim with red chilies, which are an amazing source of capsaicin, the wonder compound. Most people probably don’t think of spicy food as offering a lot of health benefits, but capsaicin is in fact a disease-fighting powerhouse. Regular consumption of spicy food can help negate the spread of breast cancer and prostate cancer. It has even been shown to affect shrinking tumors. Capsaicin also aids in the treatment of diabetes.
