Ingredients
- 18 oz basmati rice
Kofta :
- 1 minced meat
- 2 large onions--chopped
- 2 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 2 tbsp garam masala
- 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1/2 cup finally chopped coriander
- salt to taste
Cooking Gravy :
- 4 large tomatoes – cubed
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 5 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
Garnish :
- 1 large onion, finely sliced
- 1 tbsp saffron strands
- 3 tbsp warm milk
- 3-4 tbsp coriander leaves
Miscellaneous
- wheat flour dough--for sealing
How to make Kofta Biryani
Cook the gravy until the oil begins to rise to the top.
Note: There should not be more than 1 to 1 1/2 cups of gravy left at the end of this stage, so let the mixture continue to reduce accordingly.
