    How to Make Classic Hamburger

    • Take a large bowl, mix minced beef, egg, chopped onion, chopped garlic, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce until they are well-blended.
    • Make 4 equal sized patties of about 4 inches wide.
    • Now grill the patties on an oiled barbeque grill until they turn brown from the inside.
    • Lay the buns, cut side down, on grill and cook until lightly toasted, for about a minute.
    • Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the buns as per your taste
    • Put a layer of tomatoes onions and lettuce.
    • Then place the cooked Pattie on the top and enclose it with the top bun.

    Note: you can add different veggies, sauces or any other toppings you may like.

    Trivia

    • The name hamburger is derived from the city Hamburg. Therefore, the ‘ham’ in hamburger doesn’t mean pork meat.

    Around 60 million hamburgers are eaten by Americans annually which translates to three burgers a week for every single person in the United States.
