How to make Aloo Paratha

  1. Combine mashed potato, chopped onion, coriander leaves, chopped green chillies, garam masala powder and chaat masala.
  2. In another bowl, make a smooth dough of wheat flour. Add water in parts to ensure the dough doesn’t get too tacky.Divide the dough into and roll each part in small-balls. Flatten each ball on some flour, dust them well, shake of the excess dusting and roll flat. Add a spoonful of potato filling into the centre and bring the edges of the flattened dough to the centre to cover the filling completely. Ensure that the centre is slightly thicker than the edges.
  1. Heat a tawa and add some butter. Toast each flatbread until slightly browned on both sides. Add some more butter when you flip the flatbread. Also ensure that the edges of the flatbreads are well-cooked.
  2. Roll flat again and as you roll, dust the flats with flour as required.
  3. Serve with chilled yoghurt and lemon

Trivia
