How to Make Egg Chilli

  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients and set aside.
  2. Pour batter ingredients into a bowl.
    1. Slowly add water and make it into a semi thick batter.
  3. Dip each egg half in batter and fry till golden and crispy.
    1. Drain onto a paper towel and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
    1. Add garlic and ginger and cook for a minute.
    2. Add in onions and sauté for 3 mins or so till golden.
    3. Add in capsicum and cook for 2 mins.
  5. Add in sauce, chilli powder, pepper powder, salt, and sugar.
    1. Cook till it turns thick and glossy.
  6. Add in fried egg and toss well.
  7. Add spring onion and mix well.
  8. Serve hot.

Trivia

The color of the egg yolk depends on the hen's diet.
