How to make Sweet Sevai

  • Heat water in a pan.
    • Add in salt.
    • Bring water to a boil.
  • Add in sevai and cook according to the package instructions.
    • Drain and set aside.
  • Combine the jaggery, water, and coconut in a saucepan.
    • Bring to a boil.
    • Let it simmer for 5 - 6 mins until the mixture thickens.
    • Add in the cardamom powder.
    • Mix well.
    • Pour over the sevai and toss well.
  • Heat ghee in a pan.
    • Add cashews and fry until they turn golden.
    • Add in sevai and toss well.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Trivia

You can turn any sevai into a 'sweet' sevai by adding jaggery to it.
