- Ozonized oil: Ozonized oils include sunflower oil and olive oil. These can inactivate bacteria, fungus, and yeast. Ozonized sunflower oil is very effective in treating toenail fungus. Apply the ozonized oil directly on the affected nail two times a day.
- Vinegar: Vinegar can be used to treat toenail fungus. For this, mix one part of vinegar in two parts of warm water and soak the infected foot for 20 minutes.
- Garlic: Garlic contains anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. Place crushed or chopped garlic cloves on the infected toenail for half an hour.
- Listerine: Listerine contains thymol, menthol, and eucalyptus. Soak the affected foot in amber colored Listerine for half an hour.
- Include probiotics in your diet such as yogurt. Consume enough protein. Take a diet that is rich in essential fatty acids.
- Consume foods that are rich in vitamin D, calcium, and iron. Iron helps to protect against brittle nails.
