Here’s How to Detox Your Mouth Naturally

How to Detox Your Mouth

It is very important to keep your mouth free from toxins and bacteria as infections can travel from the mouth to the other parts of the body.

The food particles that remain in the mouth are the cause of bad breath. These will also promote bacterial growth and thus it is very essential to maintain oral hygiene. Here are some powerful natural ways using which you can keep your mouth clean.

Natural ways to detox your mouth

  • Tongue scraping: Scraping the tongue cleans the dead cells, the remaining food particles, and the bacteria that build up on the tongue surface. Take a flexible neem twig and bend it into U-shape. Scrape the tongue with the neem twig regularly to get rid of toxins and bacteria. Remember to dispose of the neem twig after every use.
  • Massaging the gums using tea tree oil: Tea tree oil has antiviral, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal properties. These properties help to remove oral problems. Neem oil can also be used to massage the gums. Apply a few drops of tea tree oil or neem oil and massage for a few minutes. Allow it to remain for one or two hours. Rinse with cold water. Neem will protect the gums from bleeding and clear the plaque. Take care not to ingest the oils.
  • Natural mouthwash: You can make a powerful mouthwash by mixing cloves and parsley. To prepare this natural mouthwash, take 3 cloves, some parsley leaves, and a handful of mint leaves. Boil all three in 2 cups of water. Rinse your mouth with the solution. Cloves and parsley help to get rid of bad breath and mint has anti-bacterial and disinfectant properties which will prevent the growth of bacteria in the mouth. This is a great natural mouthwash which is also free of chemicals!
