Here are Healthy Finger Foods for Your Toddler

Toddlers can be difficult to deal with at times! They can be quite fussy and picky when it comes to eating. The most important thing to remember, however, is to never lose your cool. Always smile and follow a healthy and balanced diet yourself. When your kid watches you relish and really enjoy food, he’ll take no time in mimicking you. The key lies in being persistent and patient. Furthermore, never force your kid to eat. You can only decide what to feed them and when but it’s only your kid who will decide if to eat or not. Here are some amazing delicacies for your little one to enjoy that are super healthy too!

Healthy finger foods for your little one

  • Fruit salad: A delicious treat especially for a hot summer day. It will also help maintain good skin health. Cut mangoes, watermelon, avocados, and papaya into small pieces. Mix them well and serve. Ensure the pieces are small enough to eat.
  • Broccoli and carrots: This is a powerful recipe that is high in fiber and will be great for the digestive system of your little one. Steam the carrots and the broccoli and that’s all! Ensure they are steamed well. It might take your toddler some time to get used to the taste of broccoli but it’s packed with A and C. Mixing carrots along will make them sweeter and tastier.
  • Cucumber strips: Ensure that you cut cucumbers into strips that are wide and long to not choke your baby. This is extremely important!
  • Peas and beans: This recipe is an excellent source of protein for your kid. First, drain and wash your choice of beans well. Wait for a while until the beans are half-cooked and introduce the peas, cooking until the beans are soft.
  • Steamed veggie salad: Take some steamed vegetables chopped into bite-sized pieces. Mix them well and sprinkle a little salt.
