Sore muscles can occur after a workout. If you wish to get relief through something natural, try using essential oils. There are a number of essential oils that you can use to ease swelling, muscle pain, and tension. You can also use a combination of two or three oils together.
Essentials oils to use for sore muscles
- Peppermint oil: Peppermint has menthol that is known to produce a cooling effect on the muscles. It also has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
- Marjoram oil: It is known to relax tension and muscle spasms. Marjoram oil has the ability to ease inflammation and pain.
- Lavender oil: It provides relief from inflammation and pain. It has the ability to relax the muscles.
- Eucalyptus oil: It provides relief to the aching muscles and reduces inflammation and pain.
- Rosemary oil: Rosemary oil is known for its ability to provide relief from pain and inflammation.
If you are suffering from swelling and muscle tension, you can use the oils described below. You can use them individually or you can also combine them.
- Sandalwood oil: Sandalwood is known to provide relief form tension, muscle spasms, and inflammation.
- Cypress oil: Cypress oil is known to calm and relax muscle spasms and is also known to provide relief from inflammation.
