Does Caster Oil Result in Thicker Eyebrows?

Castor oil is obtained from the beans of the Castor tree. Castor oil, since times immemorial, has been used to treat many diseases. It is used to treat dandruff, moisturize the skin, heal bacterial and fungal infections, soothe sunburns, and is also used as an oral laxative. It is also known to treat hair loss. This property of castor oil calls for people using it as a way to grow thicker eyebrows. There are two types of castor oils that can help the eyebrows to grow thicker: cold pressed castor oil and Jamaican Black castor oil. Both have the same properties. It is advised to choose pure castor oil. Castor oil that has been mixed with other oils cannot produce the desired effect and can also cause discomfort and irritation. Before you apply castor oil to your eyebrows, always do a patch test to make sure you are not allergic to castor oil.

How to apply castor oil to the eyebrows

Fix a particular time of the day at which you apply castor oil to your eyebrows. It is better to apply it at night before going to bed so that the oil can remain on the eyebrows while you are sleeping. Before you apply castor oil, remove all makeup from the eyebrows. Use a cotton swab and apply a small amount of castor oil all over the eyebrows. Massage the oil gently into the eyebrows. Do not allow the oil to enter into your eyes. If it does, wash immediately. Wash the castor oil in the morning with water. However, there is no research to show how long you need to use castor oil to see the desired results. More research needs to be done for this.

Castor oil is known to induce labor and hence should not be used by pregnant and lactating women as it can be absorbed by the body.
