Tanning is a common problem during the summers. In the summer season, the heat dehydrates the body and takes away the moisture from the skin which makes it dry and dull. The skin is tanned because of the ultraviolet rays that the sun emits. Because of tanning, the risk of premature aging also increases.
Hands are the parts of the body which are most exposed to the scorching sun and hence are most vulnerable to tanning. People usually use chemicals to remove tanning which makes the skin dry and rough. Here are some home remedies which are free from chemicals and harmful side effects.
Anti-tanning home remedies
- Add lime juice to warm water and soak your hands for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water. The vitamin C in the lemon juice will moisturize the skin and protect it from getting tanned by the UV rays. Do not forget to moisturize the hands as lime juice will make the skin a bit dry.
- Aloe vera is a powerful agent. Apply some fresh aloe vera on your hands. Allow it to remain on the hands overnight and wash in the morning. Aloe vera gel contains antioxidants which are known to remove tan from the skin.
