Rice with Goodies

Rice with Goodies

Rice with goodies is perhaps the ultimate leftover dish. It’s a wild flavor experience meant to utilize all the leftover or “I don’t know what to do with this” type ingredients in your fridge and cupboard. This recipe calls for a certain few things like turkey and bacon, but you can really use anything that you have available to you. The best thing to do with this recipe is to use it as a baseline and begin experimenting with it at your leisure.

Health Benefits

Rice with goodies is a hard dish to ascertain health benefits for, mostly because it’s never made the same way twice. The entire premise of the dish is that it makes use of whatever you have laying around in your fridge or cupboard. But one of the more interesting ingredients in this recipe is turkey. Turkey is noted for being a lean meat that is low in fat and cholesterol while being extremely high in protein making it one of the more heart healthy meats available; even more so than chicken.
