How Stocking Up on Vitamin C will Lower Sugar and Pressure Levels

Vitamin C is one of the few vitamins people are taught to prioritize. It has a plethora of health benefits that make it crucial for your body to function properly. There is the obvious, vitamin C is great for boosting your immune system and helping you to resist succumbing to sickness and disease (scurvy can be awful). But recent research has shown that vitamin C also plays a significant role in helping your body regulate blood pressure. This can be extremely beneficial for Type-2 diabetics who struggle to regulate their blood pressure. A secondary benefit is that it lowers in diabetic patients the chances of developing heart conditions.

How does Vitamin C help lower blood pressure levels

Vitamin C has antioxidant components which have long been associated with reducing heart complications. Research has shown that hyperglycemia is a cardiovascular disease risk factor for people suffering from Type-2 diabetes. Consuming large quantities of vitamin C can lead to a drop in diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure levels, which can lead to legitimate decrease in suffering cardiac arrest. While vitamin C can be effective at regulating blood pressure levels you have to consume vastly more than the RDI for it to be effective. You can increase your intake of vitamin C by taking vitamin C supplements or including vitamin C rich foods into your diet.
