It’s entirely possible to make your own effective immune system boosting tonics in the comfort of your own home All you need is some fresh ingredients and a blender or juicer. Below are some of the best immune boosting tonics to try.

1. Orange and Grapefruit

Vitamin C is one of the most well-known and powerful antioxidants available. This essential vitamin helps to boost your immune system by strengthening the cells protective layers. This ultimately increases your body’s ability to fight infections and recover from damage. Make a juice utilizing both orange and grapefruit, while keeping the pulp to maximize effectiveness.

2. Kale, tomato, and celery

This can be a bit of a bitter tonic if you’re not prepared. The tomato has a sizable amount of natural sugar however, so it shouldn’t be too bad. This nutritional take on a Bloody Mary is chock full of vitamin A and lycopene, two nutrients that will definitely strengthen your immune system. Vitamin A is an antioxidant that prevents cell damage, and is god for your skin, bones, and bodily tissue. Lycopene goes a long way to lowering your risk of developing certain types of cancers. It also protects your heart health.

3. Strawberry and mango

Not all immune boosting drinks have to be hard to swallow. Many of them can be something you would gladly imbibe if given the chance. Who doesn’t enjoy a nice cold glass of strawberry and mango juice? You can even spice things up and make it into a smoothie by blending it with sugar free yogurt. Both strawberry and mango are excellent sources of vitamin C, a powerful immune boosting antioxidant. They also contain manganese, folate, and potassium, essential nutrients to stabilize and boost your immune system.

4. Spinach, lettuce, and kale

You can refer to this one affectionately as, the Green Machine. It is packed to the brim with essential vitamins and nutrients such as, potassium, vitamin D, magnesium, vitamin K, and calcium. Fair warning though, this concoction can be somewhat bitter to swallow, so prepare yourself. Its best to take it all down in one go. The health benefits are worth the struggle though, especially the ones provided by the vitamin K content. Vitamin K is actually a group of fat-soluble vitamins. They help to regulate blood calcium levels, bone metabolism, and blood clotting.
