Pasta is easily a crowd pleaser dish, the fondness for the dish common among both children and adults alike. It tastes delicious and cooks faster. You can never go wrong with a pasta dish, any variation and twist just making it more pleasing and delicious. This stir-fried pasta with veggies is a perfect dish for kids who do not enjoy veggies as much as they enjoy creamy cheese pasta. Broccoli is one vegetable which is a powerhouse of nutrients, and this pasta is a great way to make them eat healthy vegetables!
Ingredients
8 oz spaghetti
2 clove garlic - crushed
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion - sliced into thin rings
2 chicken breast - halves cut into bite-size pieces - skinless, boneless
2 cups broccoli florets
2 cups cauliflower florets
2 cups carrot julienned
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
2 tbsp soy sauce
How To Make Stir-Fried Pasta with Veggies
- Cook spaghetti pasta until al dente.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok on medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir the onion, and cook until it becomes soft.
- Mix the chicken, and cook until juices run clear.
- Add the broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.
- Allow it to cook for 2 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Season it with soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Stir pasta with vegetables, and serve warm.
TIP: To make the recipe more delicious make some adjustments by leaving out the chicken and adding red and green peppers and celery along with the other veggies and add a half teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the cooked onions. Allow it to sit with the onions and garlic for 5 min. Then add the rest of the veggies.
