Lassi is a yoghurt-based drink that can be whipped up in minutes. Lassi is both nutritional and bound to help you quench your thirst in the sizzling heat. During Mango season, it is only fair to incorporate mangoes and come up with this delicious take on lassi. The flavor of mangoes and the natural flavor of yoghurt blends together bringing out a delightful sweetness which is hard to resist.

Lassi is an integral part of lunch in many households across the Indian subcontinent.  It can be naturally sweetened with dollops of honey completely replacing the sugar.

When serving, pour into serving tumbler glass and add 2 ice cubes.

Ingredients

cup ripe mangoes, chopped: 1

cup milk: 1/2

cup plain yogurt: 1

tsp sugar: 4

ice cubes

freshly ground cardamom and pistachios

saffron strands

How To Make Mango Lassi

  • Peel and dice fresh mangoes and puree them in the blender.
  • Add milk, yogurt, water, sugar, ice, cardamom powder, and blend the ingredients until the mixture turns smooth.
  • Store in the refrigerator for an hour.
  • Pour the lassi in glasses and sprinklecardamom, pistachio, and saffron strands on top.
  • Add ice cubes to the lassi and serve.
