Ingredients

medium-sized cauliflower: 1

cups gram flour: 2

tbsp ginger garlic paste: 1/2

tsp carom seeds: 1/2

tsp red chili powder: 1/2

tsp garam masala powder: 1/4

pinch asafoetida powder: 1

pinch turmeric powder: 1

pinch baking soda water: 1

Rock salt

salt

tsp chaat masala: 1

tsp lemon juice: 1/2

tbsp chopped coriander leaves: 1-2

How To Make Gobi Pakora

Preparation for Gobi Pakora Recipe

  1. boil water with salt.
  2. break or chop the cauliflower into medium sized florets.
    1. rinse them well and add them to the boiling water.
    2. switch off the flame and let the cauliflower florets stay immersed for 10-12 minutes.
  3. drain and marinate the cauliflower with red chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, and garam masala powder.
  4. mix thoroughly and set aside for 8-10 minutes.

Making Gobi Pakora

  1. In another bowl, make a smooth batter with the besan flour, asafoetida, baking soda, salt, and water.
    1. Add carom seeds to the batter and mix well.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai or deep fryer.
  3. Dip each marinated cauliflower piecein the batter.
    1. Coat each floret with the batter and add these in the medium hot oil.
    2. Fry till the gobi pakoras turn crisp and an even golden color.
  4. Drain gobi pakoras on paper towels to remove excess oil
  5. Garnish with lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
