This garlic fish dish is a great recipe to have in your cooking repertoire. It is flavorful and pretty scrumptious. It’s also not too difficult to prepare, just focus on seasoning the fish properly. Garlic is a strong seasoning that can easily overpower some of the milder seasonings. You want to make sure that you balance the taste of the garlic. If it is overbearing, cut it with the lemon and ginger until it is more palatable.

Ingredients

white fish fillets –cut into 1 inch chunks: 250 g

tsp ginger paste: 1

tsp garlic paste: 1

tbsp lemon juice: 1

tbsp garlic – chopped: 2

tbsp ginger--chopped: 1

cup – chopped spring onion: 1/2

spring onion – garnish: 1

tbsp fish sauce: 2

tsp pepper: 1

tsp red chili paste: 1 1/2

tsp salt: 1 1/4

tbsp chopped cilantro: 1

tbsp oil: 1

How To Make Garlic Fish

  1. Marinate the fish in the ginger paste, garlic paste, salt and lemon juice for a couple of hours.
  2. Heat the oil in a wok and then sauté the chopped ginger and garlic for 2 minutes.
    1. Add the cayenne and the pepper powder.
    2. Add the spring onions, salt, sauce, and the fish.
    3. Cook over high heat for 2 minutes.
    4. Cover and simmer for another few minutes till the fish is cooked and the gravy dries out.
  3. Garnish with chopped cilantro and chopped spring onions.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
