Ingredients

cup fresh Italian parsley leaves, fine chopped: 1/4

cup softened butter: 1/4

teaspoon olive oil: 2

oz spaghetti pasta: 12

clove garlic, chopped or minced: 1

teaspoon garlic powder: 1

cup full-fat cream: 1

teaspoon sea salt: 1/4

teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground: 1/4

teaspoon Italian seasoning: 1

cups Parmesan cheese, freshly grated: 1 1/2

cups mozzarella cheese, grated: 3/4

teaspoon ground nutmeg powder: 1/4

How To Make Classic Alfredo Sauce

Prepare Pasta

  1. Fill a large cooking pot with water and add a teaspoon of salt.
  2. Add pasta to the cooking pot and boil.
  3. Stir well so that the noodles don’t stick together.
  4. Drain pasta once it softens.
  5. Reserve a cup of pasta cooking water in a bowl.
  6. Set pasta and the reserved water aside.

Alfredo Sauce

  • Take olive oil and butter in a large sauce pan. Melt at medium heat on a stove.
  • Add garlic, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, Italian seasoning, ground nutmeg, and cream to the saucepan. Stir and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add Parmesan to the sauce mixture and cook for another 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat when the sauce gets thick and smooth.
  • Add mozzarella cheese and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Transfer boiled pasta to a serving dish.
  • Top it with the sauce and sprinkle more cheese and parsley leaves.
  • Serve and enjoy!
