Chicken Lasagna

Chicken Lasagna

Lasagna is a traditional Italian dish that involves lots and lots of cheese. It is essentially a layer cake of alternating cheese and pasta. You can make it meaty or vegetarian, it’s up to you, and both choices are delicious. This dish calls for chicken but you can substitute vegetables and cheese if you want. Serve it hot either at home or during lunch; simply pack it inside your Vaya Tyffyn lunchbox.

Health Benefits

Lasagna has many health benefits that make it a worthwhile dish. It is a great source of dietary protein and fat. The body reduces proteins into amino acids, and then utilizes these amino acids to create and maintain healthy tissue throughout the body. Protein also helps to recover from muscle fatigue. Furthermore, the pasta in lasagna is a great source of carbohydrates, making it a great source for energy. The combination of carbohydrates and protein make this dish ideal for athletes, especially runners and swimmers.
